Walk for Parkinson’s Cymru
The charity walk, which takes place in Bute Park on October 8th, is aiming to raise money to help fund vital research to find better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
The event includes a range of distances for walkers to tackle, including a family-friendly two-mile route, as well as a six-mile route for those wanting to break a sweat and challenge themselves. The event will house a variety of Parkinson’s information stalls and local Parkinson’s groups available, with live entertainment to see supporters through the day.
There is no minimum sponsorship required to take part and walkers will receive a fundraising pack with tips, sponsorship forms and a trademark bright blue t-shirt to wear on the day. It costs £12 to sign up for the walk, with under-18s able to take part for free.
To sign up to the walk or to volunteer for the day, visit the Parkinson’s UK website:

The Queer Emporium Foundation
The Queer Emporium is a social enterprise in the heart of Cardiff that celebrates all things LGBTQ+. After starting as a pop-up store in June 2021, they are now a well-known and loved business that has brought together over 20 local LGBTQ+ vendors in their Royal Arcade store.
The founders behind The Queer Emporium have recently announced their latest venture: The Queer Emporium Foundation. This new charitable endeavour will strive to empower, uplift and elevate grassroots LGBTQ+ communities.
