The Queer Emporium have recently announced that they’re now officially the first UK stockist of TransTape™️ – the gender-affirming body transformation system designed to be both waterproof and sweatproof, so anyone wearing it can freely swim, exercise, shower and sleep without discomfort. The tape is flexible and backless for maximum ease, and suitable for a range of lifestyle situations as well as drag and cosplay outfits.

You can find various colours and shades of TransTape™️ at the Queer Emporium store, alongside skincare products specifically designed to aid with the binding process. The tape and skincare are both currently available in-store only.

Exes and Os launches at Motel Nights

At the end of May, queer women and non-binary folks of Cardiff were treated to the launch of Exes & O’s – Cardiff’s new safe space designed with this demographic in mind. It was created by Sophie Lord, with the intention of helping sapphics find their community. It came to Sophie’s attention that despite Cardiff having a thriving queer community, a small proportion of it is geared towards queer women and non-binary people. That’s where Exes & O’s comes in!

Following the success of their first gathering at speakeasy Motel Nights, where guests could socialise and share a few tipples with the backdrop of a live DJ, Exes & O’s are hosting not one, but two events during Pride month. The next Motel Nights bash is set to take place on 28 June, marking the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, while earlier in the month – on 8 June – there will be a queer picnic in Bute Park organised in collaboration with @queerhikessouthwales, who will be leading a stroll along the Taff Trail just before.

The events are also, of course, trans-inclusive, so anyone who identifies with this group is welcome.
