Mermaid Quay is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week with a lineup of free events and pop-ups on the Quayside from the 13th to the 19th of May.

The week, which the Mental Health Foundation hosts, is in its 24th year and this year’s theme is ‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’. Getting enough fresh air and exercise can sometimes be a struggle, even though the benefits for our mental health are well known. So, this Mental Health Awareness Week join Mermaid Quay in finding moments for movement in your daily routine.

Here’s a look at what’s happening on the waterfront so far:

Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th May 2024

Free outdoor yoga sessions will be held between 10am and 11am overlooking the bay at Mermaid Quay. Take a moment to enjoy some gentle stretches as you gaze out over the bay, soaking up the relaxing sound of the water on the jetty, and the birds singing in the sky. Pure tranquillity and bliss.

Thursday 16th May 2024

In partnership with Tanya from Green T Therapy you will have the chance to relax and restore with a 10-minute complimentary massage or reiki session right in the heart of Mermaid Quay. Sessions will be available between 11am – 12:30pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

During the week Mermaid Quay will be hosting a range of free activities and pop-ups with more dates and events to be released soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
