Back for another year of inspiring talks from key stakeholders across industries, paired with change-making discussions and networking knowledge exchange, the Mastering Diversity Conference & Awards 2024 by multi-award-winning EDI expert Bernie Davies are both set to take place this autumn – so mark your calendars.
The Mastering Diversity Conference, in partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union, Cardiff Life and WCS Agency, is scheduled for 16 September this year, and will be held right at the heart of the Welsh capital in the Principality Stadium.
The conference will open with a welcome address by creator and event host Bernie Davies, before she invites to the stage a Welsh member of the Senedd to kickstart the day with a statement on diversity, equity and inclusion in Wales.
Following this, attendees can expect more speeches, including Bernie’s take on how to master diversity in post-Covid Wales and invaluable insights from Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE, Paralympian and crossbench peer in the House of Lords.
Once the speeches wrap up, there will be three hours of breakout sessions and workshops. During that time, attendees will take part in networking knowledge exchange and expert discussions taking place across eight zones, each with its dedicated corporate hospitality box.
After lunch, everyone will gather back to hear from another Welsh Government minister and an inspirational story on going from dyslexia to multi-million-pound projects by Toni Clarkstone, before an expert panel of zone sponsors takes the stage for a debriefing and questions.
The afternoon portion of the conference will also see the official release date announcement and trailer premiere of Mastering Diversity – a documentary on the state of diversity and inclusion in Wales – introduced by filmmaker and director, Georgios Dimitropoulos.
