Hard Lines Coffee

Now a top hangout spot in the city, Hard Lines Coffee started as a pop-up and evolved into a
permanent store after many years. Hard Lines aims not to take coffee too seriously while
showcasing the very best of it, making it accessible to as many people as possible. It’s
important to them that they are “responsible and transparent” in their work in the community
and further afield. Hard Lines welcome you with open arms, encouraging you to bring your
four-legged friends! With dog bowls in tow for your pooch’s well-deserved post-walk drink
and both indoor and outdoor space for some chill out time, they provide the perfect place to
hang up those walking boots.

In June this year, the Hard Lines team partnered with ‘The Rescue Hotel’, a volunteer-run
charity providing pups with a “zen” home. The partnership brought dogs from ‘The Rescue
Hotel’ into Hard Lines for the day, allowing people to interact with them in an effort to
encourage adoption. Matt Jones, co-owner of Hard Lines, told us that it was “really great and
we had a lovely turnout.” Keep an eye on their socials for the next event. You never know,
you may be leaving with a few more legs than planned!

Running fuelled by caffeine, Hard Lines started a running club born initially to heal the
community and bring people together after lockdown. Many people were a little anxious to
be heading back out into the world and others felt nervous about running in the dark on their
own, so Matt wanted to “offer a safe space for people to relax and feel safe and welcomed”.
It’s been a great success, with the club running every Thursday at 6:30pm. Everyone is truly
welcome, including your four-legged friends.

Fancy a trip down to Hard Lines Coffee? Of course you do! Their most popular blend is ‘House Party’, the first ever coffee they released, designed to “get you up in the morning and give
you a big old coffee kick!” So, if you’re looking for a recommendation, you’ve found it! If you
fancy something different, the team endeavour to offer a range of coffee from big and bold to
fruity and acidic.
