Wales’s own adventure experts, Zip World, are bringing their signature thrilling experiences right to the heart of Cardiff. In a landmark partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), the company is launching Zip World Cardiff at the iconic Principality Stadium.
Opening tomorrow, this new site is a major milestone for Zip World, marking its very first city centre location in Wales and its first stadium venture in the UK. Get ready to experience the legendary stadium like never before.
Visitors can now climb atop the 60 metre high roof for a bird’s eye view, or take the plunge with a daring descent. The full adrenaline line-up features three incredible elements:
- Stadium Walk: An invigorating walk across the stadium’s rooftop with panoramic views across Cardiff.
- Stadium Drop: A thrilling abseil down the stadium’s outer wall.
- Stadium Flyer: A heart-racing zip line soaring across the stadium’s colossal canopy.
In a change from previous operations, Zip World is selling tickets for each experience individually, giving you the freedom to customise your day out, choose just one adventure or tackle all three!
This venture brings together three prominent Welsh brands, Zip World, the WRU and The Principality Stadium. It also establishes a new commercial model for the WRU, which previously managed the attractions.
Adventure tourism specialists, Zip World, will now independently operate the rooftop attraction, taking full responsibility for ticketing, marketing and delivery. This strategic shift allows the WRU to focus on its core mission: growing and supporting rugby across Wales, with the money generated from the attraction being reinvested directly into Welsh rugby, including grassroots development.
