A striking new digital screen, measuring over 100m², has been unveiled outside Cardiff Bus Interchange, enhancing the passenger experience. This initiative, a collaboration between Transport for Wales (TfW), the Welsh Government, and Cardiff Council, was officially launched during a ceremony attended by The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Adrian Robson, and Lady Mayoress, Councillor Jayne Cowan.
The screen will display real-time travel updates, public announcements, and advertisements. Revenue generated from advertising will be reinvested into the transport network to improve services, cover operational costs, and fund future infrastructure developments.
Alexia Course, Chief Commercial Officer at Transport for Wales, highlighted the screen as a significant step in the digitisation of the network, stating, “This is more than just a screen; it’s a powerful communications tool and a symbol of our ambition to modernise the passenger experience.”Transport For Wales News
The screen is also approved for live TV broadcasts, offering a dynamic addition to the Interchange’s facilities.
