Welsh Conservatives
Focus: Get Wales Working
- NHS: Declare a health emergency on Day 1 to tackle waiting lists.
- Tax: Cut the basic rate of income tax by 1p and scrap Stamp Duty (LTT) on primary homes.
- Transport: Reverse the default 20mph speed limit back to 30mph.
- Government: Scrap the Senedd expansion (cutting the number of MSs back to 60).
- Farming: Scrap the Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS) and replace it.
Wales Green Party
Focus: A Green Transformation
- Climate: Ensure every government decision supports nature and climate recovery.
- Homes: A national mission to retrofit 100,000 homes for energy efficiency.
- Transport: Retain the 20mph limit and pivot funding from new roads to public transport.
- Energy: Oppose all nuclear power and fossil fuel extraction in Wales.
- Food: A ‘Welsh Good Food Bill’ to boost local, organic food production.
Welsh Labour
Focus: A New Chapter for Wales
- Hospitals: £4 billion for new hospitals (including a replacement for UHW in Cardiff).
- Transport: A £2 adult bus fare cap across Wales.
- Housing: 100,000 new homes by 2036 (40,000 of which will be social housing).
- Tax: No changes to the Welsh rate of income tax.
- Environment: A major crackdown on fly-tipping with increased fines.
Welsh Liberal Democrats

- Social Care: Invest in 5,000 new nursing-care placements to end ‘corridor care’ in hospitals.

Plaid Cymru

- Health: Hire 100 new GPs and create 10 new surgical hubs to cut waiting times.
- Childcare: Extend free childcare to all children from 9 months to 4 years old.
- Education: Free school meals for secondary pupils (starting with families on Universal Credit).
- Transport: Demand full devolution of rail and HS2 ‘consequential’ funding.
- Community: A new law to help communities buy local pubs, shops, and cafes.
Reform UK
Focus: Fixing Wales
- Tax Lock: A 1p cut to all Welsh income tax bands and a ‘tax lock’ on new levies.
- Infrastructure: Build the M4 Newport bypass and reverse the 20mph limit.
- Housing: Limit social housing to people who have lived in Wales for at least 10 years.
- Migration: Scrap the ‘Nation of Sanctuary’ status.
- Energy: Back new nuclear at Wylfa and scrap net-zero targets for 2030.
