Heading to see Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Slayer, or Stevie Wonder this summer? As part of the Blackweir Concert Series, Cardiff will welcome thousands of music fans—and with that comes essential road closures to keep everyone moving safely.
To help manage crowds and ensure public safety, a number of key city centre roads will be closed on selected dates.
Road Closure Dates
Roads will be closed from 4pm to midnight on the following concert days:
- Friday 27 June
- Wednesday 2 July
- Thursday 3 July
- Wednesday 9 July
Please note: Roads in the Civic Centre area will close earlier, from 7am on these days.
Roads Affected
- Castle Street
- North Road (southbound from Boulevard de Nantes to Castle Street)
- Kingsway
- Duke Street
- Cowbridge Road East (between Cathedral Road and Westgate Street)
- Civic Centre roads (from 7am)
- Colum Road to Corbett Road turn
Diversion Route
Traffic will be diverted via Park Place, Colum Road and North Road.
Access for residents, businesses and buses will be maintained wherever possible.
