The double Ivor Novello and triple BRIT Award winner will headline the vibrant TK Maxx presents Depot Live series at Cardiff Castle on Thursday, July 16. Following a phenomenal year in 2025 and the recent release of his seventh solo studio album, ‘Lovin You,’ Ashcroft’s performance will showcase his vast and influential songbook, from The Verve’s classic hits to his expansive solo career. Richard Ashcroft’s performance at the Castle follows an exceptional year which included earning rapturous receptions as a special guest to Oasis throughout their huge summer shows.
The show will celebrate his expansive career, which took him from colossal success as the frontman of The Verve to an influential solo career. The recent release of his new album, ‘Lovin You’, which charted at Number Three in the UK, only adds to the current rediscovery of his vast and incredible songbook.
Adding to the excitement, Richard Ashcroft will be joined by two brilliant support acts, ensuring the energy is high throughout the evening: Tom Meighan is the original Kasabian frontman and will be bringing his unmistakable vocals and tracks from his debut solo album ‘The Reckoning’. Apollo Junction will be opening the show, and they are known for their strong and dedicated fanbase. They recently release their second album titled ‘What In The World’.
