It’s been a long time coming – 15 years, in fact, since Oasis played their last gig before a dramatic backstage bust-up in 2009. But Cardiff is getting ready to be the first stop on he iconic rock bands reunion tour, with Liam and Noel Gallagher finally reuniting.
Get ready for two incredible nights on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July, as the legendary brothers kick off their run right here in the Welsh capital. From the stadium roof to who’s joining them on stage, here’s everything you need to know about this monumental event.
Why All the Fuss?
For many, Oasis provided the soundtrack to their lives after their debut album Definitely Maybe dropped in August 1994. The band’s Dig Out Your Soul was their last before the 2009 split and years of public feuding. But cheer, as last August brought the exciting news of their reunion! This marks the first time the Gallaghers will perform together in nearly 16 years. Expect a sea of ’90s-inspired fashion, including plenty of bucket hats.
Support Acts and Timings
Oasis will be joined by two stellar support acts: Richard Ashcroft, frontman of The Verve, and Liverpool’s own Britpop legends, Cast.
- Principality Stadium Gates Open: 17:00 BST

Stadium Roof and Tickets
The Principality Stadium roof is set to be closed for both concerts, ensuring a great atmosphere. While the shows are officially a sell-out, the band announced on June 25 that a very limited number of additional tickets might be released in the coming days. Keep an eye on official channels for your chance to grab a last-minute spot!
Cardiff Road Closures and Getting There
Cardiff council has announced a full road closure around the stadium from 15:00 until midnight on both 4 and 5 July, including Duke Street, Castle Street, St Mary Street, and more. Scott Road and Park Street will also close from 07:00.
The M4 is expected to be very busy, so check the Traffic Wales website before you set off. Event parking is available at Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre, with a park and ride service from Cardiff Bay Sports Village from 09:00. Transport for Wales and GWR will be adding extra train capacity, but expect services to be crowded. Cardiff Bus diversions will be in place due to the closures.
