This year’s festival proved once again why it holds such a special place in the hearts of music lovers and art enthusiasts. The legendary Mountain Stage was a hub of energy all weekend, with headliners Underworld delivering a blistering set of pounding beats and kaleidoscopic visuals, and Wet Leg bringing their signature indie-pop energy to a screaming crowd.
Sunday night was a masterful mix of moods. TV on the Radio thrilled the audience with their explosive alternative rock sound, pulling from across their discography and unleashing a powerful surge of energy with their fan-favourite track, ‘Wolf Like Me’.
In a stunning contrast, Beth Gibbons delivered a haunting and deeply emotional set. Her raw vulnerability and captivating voice drew the crowd into a moment of stillness, performing selections from her debut solo album and nodding to her legacy with Portishead in a truly moving finale.
Welsh Talent and Far Out Discoveries
Green Man 2025 was a true celebration of Welsh talent. The festival welcomed a spectacular array of local artists, including Melin Melyn, Los Campesinos!, Gwenno, and Georgia Ruth. A standout moment was CMAT‘s Welsh debut, which drew a record-breaking crowd. Draped in the Welsh flag, she cemented herself in Green Man history by covering Catatonia’s ‘Road Rage’, creating a huge two-step-along that lit up the main stage.
Meanwhile, the Far Out stage showcased the festival’s knack for spotting future headliners. Funk collective Cymande turned the tent into a full-body experience with their high-energy, socially conscious set. The stage also saw fantastic performances from rising stars like Kneecap and English Teacher, alongside the genre-blurring sounds of Nilüfer Yanya.
Beyond the Beats
Green Man’s reputation for being more than just a music festival was on full display. The stunning Bannau Brycheiniog National Park was home to immersive arts programming and engaging science experiences, proving it’s a true celebration of creativity, community, and connection.
As the sun sets on another unforgettable Green Man, the anticipation for next year is already building. Tickets for Green Man 2026 go on sale Wednesday, August 27th, and if this year is anything to go by, they won’t last long!
