Ethel Cain Extends SoldOut Global Tour into 2026, Announces Massive Cardiff Castle Date

The phenomenal singer-songwriter Ethel Cain is bringing her intense, southern gothic-style to the TK Maxx presents Depot Live, Cardiff Castle stage in the summer of 2026. Following the immediate, global sell-out of her Willoughby Tucker Forever tour, which saw over 170,000 tickets snapped up, Cain is extending the run to include a huge show right here in the capital on Friday, June 19.

The highly-anticipated leg kicks off next Thursday at Manchester’s O2 Apollo and includes a five night residency at London’s Eventim Apollo. Cain recently wrapped their acclaimed US leg and was also announced for Coachella 2026. The tour supports Cain’s latest project, new album Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, which is out now. The new record serves as a prequel to her globally adored 2022 debut album, Preacher’s Daughter which recounts the story of Ethel’s first love, Willoughby Tucker, and their intense, humid romance. The songs themselves span her entire career as Ethel Cain, with some dating from the earliest days of her project’s mythmaking, though Cain produced and recorded the album over the past year.

Ethel Cain is the creation of Florida-born multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia and after years of self-production, Cain singlehandedly wrote, produced, recorded and mixed her acclaimed 2021 EP Inbred from the basement of an old church where she lived in Indiana. Her landmark debut album, Preacher’s Daughter, was a multimedia work that took over four years to assemble and was released in May 2022 to widespread critical acclaim, with The New York Times, Vogue, and W Magazine all naming it one of the best of the year. Since its release, Cain has played sold-out shows and packed festival sets around the world, collaborated with fashion powerhouses like Givenchy, Miu Miu, and Calvin Klein and shared stages with artists including Florence + the Machine and Mitski.

The Cardiff Castle headlining show is presented as part of TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

DEPOT Live’s Nick Saunders said: “Announcing Ethel Cain is coming to Cardiff is a coup for us. This tour has sold out globally so we are delighted to have secured a date here at the Castle for summer 2026. This will be a very special show.”

Cain joins Alter Bridge’s Blackbird Festival and David Gray among the headliners already revealed for Cardiff Castle next summer.
Presale tickets are available at 10 am Wednesday via depotlive.co.uk. General sale starts at 10 am Friday via depotlive.co.uk and ticketmaster.co.uk.
