Cardiff’s historic indoor market is set to open late for a special evening of food, music, and local traders on Friday, September 5, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. This event is the official kick-off for the 2025 City of Arcades campaign.
Step inside after dark to explore the market’s unique charm while a live DJ sets the mood. You’ll find a diverse range of exclusive dishes from resident traders like Ffwrnes (Neapolitan pizza), Bao Selecta (Asian bao buns), and Pierogi(Polish dumplings), alongside some of the best independent street food Cardiff has to offer.
This late-night opening launches the two-week-long Foodie Fortnight, a wider celebration of Cardiff’s vibrant food scene. Other highlights include cocktail specials at Gin & Juice, a sourdough workshop at Pettigrew Bakeries, and exclusive discounts at various city centre venues like DA Coffi and Bubble Ci-Tea.
“Last year’s event saw attendance grow by an incredible 71%,” said Carolyn Brownell, CEO of FOR Cardiff, the Business Improvement District delivering the campaign. “2025 promises to be the biggest and best yet.”
