Cirque Éloize iD Reloaded Hits Cardiff with jaw-Dropping twist of West Side Story

The West Side Story urban twist has officially hit Cardiff and left our jaws on the floor. With the premiere of Cirque Éloize’s electrifying spectacle, iD Reloaded, at Wales Millennium Centre. they have captured the audience and took full advantage of the big stage with all their incredible acts and performances, even going so far as to use the audience as apart of the act too.

They’ve brought their spectacular new production to the UK for the first time since 2019, kicking off the Dance Consortium tour right here in Cardiff. Directed and created by Jeannot Painchaud, the show throws circus artistry, hip-hop and a dramatic, high-energy narrative into a blender. The action is set against the backdrop of a vibrant, ever-changing city, a futuristic and rustic urban arena where you can truly be who you want to be.

iD Reloaded is more than just a series of stunning tricks. It’s a thrilling, inventive piece of work packed with attitude. Creator Jeannot Painchaud explains the show’s evolution “The evolution of the dance and acrobatic scene in 15 years is remarkable. iD Reloaded is a visual fest, still fun and energetic, more cartoon-like and colourful. It’s in complete resonance with the challenges that our teenagers are facing where screenshots and ‘likes’ change constantly your image and creates new identities. What’s real and what’s not? Who am I? In this extraordinary period of time, it’s more important than ever to celebrate our difference and our sense of community. Welcome to iD Reloaded!”

The dare-devil troupe brings exceptional skills to the show’s edgy urban arena. The cast includes:

  • Aerials and Hand-to-Hand: Florence Amar
  • Dance and B-Boy: Bryan ‘Slinky’ Boyer and Adam Dransfield
