Life in the city is all about convenience and now your daily commute just got a major upgrade! Transport for Wales (TfW) has teamed up with InPost to install new, secure parcel lockers at seven stations across the South Wales network. This exciting partnership means you can now send and collect your online orders while on the go, a genius move that saves you time and reduces the need for extra car journeys. It’s a brilliant example of how our city is embracing smart, sustainable solutions to make day-to-day living easier. Read on to find out which stations now have this fantastic new feature!

InPost Lockers Now Active at Seven Stations

Following a successful launch, InPost lockers are now available at the following locations:

  • Rhymney Station
  • Caerphilly Station
  • Radyr Station
  • Merthyr Tydfil Station
  • Pontypridd Station
  • Lisvane and Thornhill Station
  • Llandaf Station

More lockers are planned for various other locations across the TfW network.

According to Alexia Course, Chief Commercial Officer at TfW, this partnership is a perfect example of how the company is enhancing its services to make travel more appealing.

“It’s a pleasure partnering with an organisation that shares TfW’s care for sustainable practices and utilising technology to improve the customer’s experience,” she said. “This partnership is just another way we’re harnessing our network to continually improve our customer offering, enticing potential customers onto our network with InPost’s easy to use, environmentally friendly parcel lockers.”

Neil Kuschel, CEO of InPost UK, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the benefit to customers. “Installing our lockers at key stations allows customers to seamlessly fit sending and receiving parcels into their daily routines,” he said.

In addition to enhancing customer convenience, the partnership also highlights TfW’s commitment to the Welsh language. Many of the new lockers feature bilingual vinyl wraps, ensuring they meet the needs of Welsh-speaking customers and communities.

Lowri Joyce, TfW’s Welsh Language Strategy Lead, explained, “This initiative not only showcases our commitment to the Welsh language but also enhances our customer experience, making our network even more appealing. It’s a proud milestone as we continue to expand while embracing inclusivity and celebrating our rich cultural heritage.”
