I’m Kate Morgan, Chair of She Runs: Cardiff. Five years ago, a shared passion for promoting the joy of running brought together a group of women in Cardiff. This dynamic collective envisioned a space where women could come together, not only to run but to support, inspire and celebrate each other. Thus, She Runs: Cardiff was born.

Female participation in running has seen a remarkable surge and we are proud to contribute to this movement. She Runs: Cardiff is designed to be a safe haven, particularly for beginners, where every woman, regardless of pace or experience, is not just welcomed but celebrated.
Our ethos revolves around creating a supportive, inclusive and friendly environment for women to run, fostering not just physical health but overall well-being and happiness. In the heart of Cardiff, we organise bi-weekly social runs, guided by our dedicated Leadership in Running Fitness (LIRF) leaders. From speed to hill and trail runs, we cater to all levels of running enthusiasts. Our highly successful Walk2Run program further ensures that beginners find their stride in a welcoming community.

What makes She Runs: Cardiff truly special is our commitment to the broader local running community. Volunteering at local ParkRuns and raising over £8000 in the past year for our charity partner, Bigmoose, showcases our dedication to making a positive impact beyond our group.
As we align with the 2024 International Women’s Day theme #inspireinclusion, our values echo the essence of this celebration. She Runs: Cardiff strives to deliver a sprinkle of belonging and a burst of empowerment to its members.
