My journey is marked by loss, grief, and pain, which I’ve transformed into a force propelling me forward with faith to create something beautiful – Norah Rose Staging. It’s a story of transformation, where a changed mindset became the driving force behind my mission to inspire others to navigate their tumultuous seas.
After a turbulent childhood filled with fear and violence, I found myself navigating a labyrinth of emotions after a profound loss at 17 years old – a loss no child should experience, the loss of my dad, Dennis.
Seeking to fill the void, I turned to drugs and alcohol, spiralling into a depressive storm and losing myself for several years before settling into a career in IT Project Delivery. However, I knew something was missing, a feeling cemented by yet another significant loss during lockdown – my Grandmother, Norah. In those dark moments, Norah Rose’s seeds were planted. In the depths of despair, a glimmer of inspiration took root, evolving into a vision to channel my pain into something purposeful.
Norah Rose Staging emerged as more than just a project; it became a testament to resilience, a living embodiment of the power of transformation following even more loss – three recurrent pregnancy losses with my partner. I found solace and purpose in Getting People Dressed, which truly saved me.
The early days were daunting and some still are. I began to shape Norah Rose Staging from the raw materials of my pain, a delicate process of honouring the past and embracing the future with faith.
I quickly discovered my true potential in bringing vision to life, inspiring other women to leap forward, using their pain as fuel to create outstanding stories of their own. The mindset shift became the cornerstone of Norah Rose’s philosophy – ever the optimist and beacon of light in times of despair!
The act of creation became therapeutic, a form of alchemy that became addictive, proving that even in the most barren landscapes, beauty can thrive! “Vulnerability is my superpower; my mission is to inspire those who’ve weathered their own storms.”
The pain that once consumed me became the wellspring of compassion that fueled Norah Rose Staging, and it will continue to do so as the mission grows. I, along with Norah Rose, have gained an excellent reputation as multi-award-winning property staging experts across South Wales and beyond, continuing to battle mindset demons daily.
